The President's passing.

Good morning all.

I thought I would take time this morning to post regarding the Polish President's death, as well as the other connected deaths. I found out about it from my Polish peers while we were all in Berlin. Everyone was quite shocked, and I still can't believe that I am currently in Poland while this has happened.

Although the week of his passing was a very hectic and busy week for all of us, Drew and I felt it necessary to go to Old town to just witness what was happening. We went Wednesday night to Old town to visit the President's Place, which also happened to be the day that the caskets were brought back.

It was absolutely crazy. There were so many people gathered to go and give their respects and pass by the caskets. To do so you had to wait in a never ending line that twisted up and down the road. We did not do this due to the fact we had to go back and finish our projects. However it was just amazing witnessing it all.

There were candles any place a candle could be put, and flowers, and an abundance of posters with everyone's picture who had passed away in the plan crash. It was really sad, but also quite beautiful with everyone gathered there together.

Drew brought his camera and we both took some pictures. It was hard to get some good ones because it was so dark out. But I thought I would share...

I would urge you to give a few moments of silence today for those that have passed and say a little prayer for their families.

Do widzenia
