As you may have caught on from the previous posts, Drew and I continue to have lots of funny cooking up meals for ourselves. We are teaching ourselves to become only the best chefs of course! ha but in all honesty it has been very fun coming up with recipes and just knowing that we will get a break during the busy day to take time to cook a decent meal. It just plays even more into the whole living on my own thing, especially living here in Warsaw =)
Anyways I thought I would share some photos of our meals! I had been snapping quick shots of our plates right before we ate (which I don't think Drew fully appreciated due to the fact that we were always quite hungry, but I would make him wait so I could get a photo =P)
[the photos aren't the best quality due to them being rush and also the absolutely terrible lighting in the dorms]
[Beer (Polish of course!) Batter Tilapia with grilled fresh wedges. We also cooked up some mustard pecan tilapia with pasta one night which was delicious. Salmon Alfredo has also been on our menu but we have failed to take pictures of the two meals.]
[Salad including: Pasta, lettuce, grilled chicken, roasted peanuts, bacon, grilled green and red peppers, and grilled onions]
[Before our night out to the jazz club this last time, we fried up some Blueberry and Strawberry filled Pierogis and had them with ice cream!]
[Polish sour soup (Zurek) is definitely one of mine and Drew's favorite Polish food so far. Our friend Bartek took us to a milk bar about a month ago and he ordered us some zurek for the first time, and we loved it! We had really good zurek in Wroclaw when we went too =)]
[Sweet and Sour stir fry with fresh veggies!]
[Chicken, cheese, onion and pepper quesidillas]
Tonight we also cooked up a stir fry with fresh vegetables, chicken, and teryaki sauce =)
I will be back in a little bit to show you some of my favorite things I have gotten while hear so far =) And this weekend I will hopefully get around to continuing spring break posts showing my 3 days in Rome!
