I though you might like to know...

I finally bought my ticket to come back home!!

I was holding off because of the outrageous prices. And had to be quite tricking in planning to get the best price but I will be back in the States...

Friday, June 4th!!!

=)

I am quite excited now that I actually have an exact date set in stone!!
(Now just pray that there will be no more volcanic eruptions so that I am able to fly home!)
I look forward to seeing you all in June!!!!
Miss you all!

Especially these guys...

And this little girl...

But Now comes a busy weekend working on my architectural design, interior design, and urban design projects! Perhaps I will post a snapshot of one of my 3d models in its current stage, which is not finished of course..but this weekend I will be able to get a huge dent into the final stages of all the projects!

And most likely a picnic will be added to my weekend plans as a break for Drew and I because it is absolutely beautiful here this weekend, and we will be inside majority of the time working on our computers, boo =(

But anyways...

Have a lovely Friday! =)

Be on the lookout for more Spring Break posts! (Sorry they are taking so long it has been an incredibly crazy week)

xo

P.s.!
Here is a snapshot taken of all of the American Students and some of the Polish students when I went to the Ballet weeks and weeks ago. Better late then never right!

When in Rome...

Now back to my Spring Break adventures...

This year I spent my Easter Sunday in both Barcelona and Rome! Crazy, huh!?

We all helped each other get up Sunday morning and catch a bus to the airport in Barcelona around 6am. It was pouring down rain when we left. We then arrived at the airport around 7am, sleepy but anxious!

I barely remember the flight because I basically passed out the second I got settled. But here are some photos I took capturing the atmosphere in Barcelona that morning. And some photos from the plane ride...

(Little did we know that those oh so beautiful clouds from above were soon to be anything but beautiful once underneath them...)

Once we arrived in Rome, we quickly found the bus we needed to take to get to the Metro station, which then took us to the stops to get off at to get to our hostels. In the Metro Station there were beautiful mosaic artworks on the walls so I of course had to take a picture!

Unfortunately it was pouring down rain in Rome that day. As you can see...

(which by the way is why I did not take very many pictures during the this first day.)

We which we maybe would not have minded very much, if we hadn't forgotten our umbrellas (which don't worry we quickly found a man selling them and did some good bartering and got some for cheap!), and if the road that mine and Drew's hostel was on actually existed. It was no where to be found on the free maps we grabbed at the airport, and after asking several passer bys, all of which have lived there for years, who had no idea or recollection of that name of the road even existing, we thought we may had been scammed.

Until...Yes, we finally found it!
Thank God for us and our silly must get souviners! In every city we go to we purchase a nice map of the city for a souvenir, and we had already purchased one for Rome right away in the subway. It was the only map we had that had the road on it!!! Definitely meant to be.
However when we finally got there at 12:30 of course 'check-in' was not until 2:00, so we had to drop our bags off and leave the building. At this point we were quite down in the dumps, due to our hassle trying to find the place, the crummy weather, and we had been separated from Katie, Sean, and Rebecca. We were staying in different hostels, but planned to drop our bags off and meet up again. But we had completely missed our meeting time due to our struggles, and of course none of our phones were working in Rome. So Drew and I honestly didn't think we would ever even see them again until we were to meet up with everyone in Berlin.

So we decided we couldn't be so down, especially since we were in Rome!!! So we headed out to go see the Colosseum. There we were walking to the Colosseum, beginning to cheer up, while snapping a few pictures here and there when...

low and and behold...

I see Katie's bright green coat down at the base of the Colosseum!!! It honestly was such a lovely site to see the two of them after what we had just been through, and made Drew and I so unbelievably happy! God was without a doubt on our side that day, it was amazing knowing so.

So we continued with our day with the company of Sean and Katie! We just walked around the Colosseum, and decided we would be back when it was nicer out and just continued on walking around.

While walking around we also saw the Capital Building and glimpses of the Roman Forum...

We all decided we should stop somewhere to eat and found this inexpensive little cafe and got spaghetti and sandwiches. All were very delicious.

After we were all full and re energized we headed towards the Pantheon. And in the most simplest of terms it was amazing, astounding, incredible. It was awesome being in there. The scale of the building is incredible and just knowing how long it has been around is just astonishing.

Just knowing that thousands of other people over years and years and years have been in the same building, have touched the same walls and columns that you have. It is an incredible feeling.

Drew and I agreed we would return to it when it was nicer out. We stayed in Rome for 3 days total, while Sean, Katie, and Rebecca only stayed for 2. So we figured we would definitely be stopping by again.

We stopped by the Trevi Fountain while exploring. Again, I did not take as many photos as I would have liked too, due to the constant pouring down rain, but don't worry I took many more in the next too days!

After walking around for a good few hours, as it became dark we all agreed it might be interesting to go see the Vatican at night, assuming it would be all lit up. We took the public transit as close as we could, then actually had to walk quite a ways to get to it. Right as we arrived it poured down rain. The wind kicked up and it was raining buckets. Luckily we had gotten there just in time and were able to take shelter behind the incredibly large columns. My camera was acting up in the rain and wind, but Drew took some really great night shots...

As it got later we all agreed we should find somewhere to get a bit to eat and maybe some good Italian wine. We walked up and down the streets looking for a place with reasonable prices, us being cheap, broke college kids and all ;)
We found this wine bar that was right up our alley! I had the most amazing lasagna and we all split a bottle of red wine, which was also wonderful, here are some photos from inside!...

On our way back to our hostels we stopped by the Trevi fountain again to see it lit up at night. It was also much less crowded then during the day, we could actually go up to it, unlike before. I through a coin into in over my shoulder and made a wish too! =)

It was quite an adventurous, and equally exciting and exhausting day.
Here is my Drew with a sleepy grin back in our room.

I couldn't be more blessed to have been able to be in Rome that day, and even more so for the following two days!
Thank you again for letting me share tid bits of my European experiences with you! I hope you've been enjoying!

Have a most wonderful night and I intend to be back later this weekend for Rome, Day Two!
