Czesc!
A few of us have been wanting to go to Krakow, but it was quite a busy week so we hadn't any time to purchase train tickets or a hostel. But on thursday, once we finished class, 5 of us sat down with some of the polish students and booked a placed to stay while Drew went with some classmates to get some tickets! It was quite spur of the moment, but everything worked out perfectly.
Here are some pictures in the main square...

Below is a picture of the park that basically circles the main square. This place would be absolutely beautiful in the fall! Too bad I won't be here to see, but hopefully I'll be back before I leave when the weather is nicer!

We actually found this 2 bedroom apartment right in the middle of everything, perfect walking distance, and it had a fully equipt little kitchen, a nice bathroom, and even a tv! It was only a few dollars more expensive than the other hostels we were looking at, but it was closer to everything so we booked it.
This photo is a view from our kitchen window, you can see Wawel castle in the distance! (And a photo of the view at night) It was so great. And the rest are quick snapshots of our apartment. (al.Dietla 46/5)

We just spent a lot of time walking around and enjoying the city. We arrived in Krakow around 10:30am on Friday and the sun was out, it was beautiful. Too bad it was absolutely freezing, and I currently have a cold. So all the walking and bad weather didn't help at all. But no worries I still enjoyed myself very much! We got some gifts for our families, and ate good food, lots of dessert! We ate a restaurant named Rocking Horse, it was new and you got a 10% discount if you ate there. We figured because of the name it would have an English menu, as most restaurants in Poland have, however after sitting down we realized the menu was completely Polish and we had forgotten our dictionaries! It was funny, and an adventure, but we made out real good and ate everything on our plates!
Below are photos from just walking around and Me being silly in a boutique, Drew enjoying his ice cream, and my fellow travelers enjoying dinner!

I came back today, Sunday around 3:00pm and Drew and I cooked some chicken and noodles with a good cheese and broccoli sauce for dinner. It was tasty. Now for the rest of the night it is work work work for classes tomorrow. Stockholm is next weekend though, so it's definitely something to look forward to! Also, I think a few of us Polish and American students are going to try to see Alice and Wonderland this week! =) And hopefully plan our traveling for spring break and the rest of the weekends. I do know for sure that I will be in Berlin the weekend of April 9-11th because it is a class trip, the Americans and the Polish students!! =)
Anyways have a great night everyone, and a wonderful week to come.
Do widzenia!
