Last post regarding Wroclaw! =P

So while we were walking around during the weekend, we notices some curious little guys in hidden places...little gnomes! Turns out art involving gnomes has been turning up all over Wroclaw since the 80's due to the Orange Alternative Movement. They would paint gnomes over the communist graffiti as a mean of peaceful protesting. More recently a local artist created and placed these little guys all throughout the city, take a look!..

Here are photos of the Anonymous Pedestrians Statue ("Transition") on the street close to the train station.

On Sunday, as we were walking back to the train station to head back to Warsaw we decided to stop into this mall. Drew had read about it online before we came and read that it has a great view of the whole city atop the roof. So we decided to check it out. We were very bummed to find that when we got up to the roof it was pouring rain =( But that didn't stop us, we wanted some pictures! So I used my scarf to cover my head and camera. And then within 5 minutes the rain completely stopped, it was magical. I must mention that God has really been on our side while traveling lately. Guiding us while we run to catch our trains just in time and pushing aside clouds for the sun to be out for us. Quite amazing!

Anyways here are some photos inside the mall and while on the roof...

(Drew wanted to pose like they did in the one scene in the Hangover haha)

The rest are photos heading to the train station on the way back to Warsaw!

And that concludes our trip to Wroclaw. (Finally, right! haha)
Do widzenia!

Wroclaw continued!

On Friday Drew and I just spent time walking around and exploring. We found this bridge with an abundance of locks on it. Drew said when he was looking up information regarding Wroclaw he read about the bridge, apparently when people become engaged they come and lock a lock onto the bridge for good luck. It was so cute! Here are some photographs we took...

Here are some pictures of the hostel we stayed in. It was so nice! (and some pictures of us being silly in the room =P, Drew got some nice new sun glasses though!

The first night, Friday, we ate at a nice little Italian Place in the main square, and had very yummy spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread =)

On Saturday we woke up and walked around, got pastries for breakfast/lunch, and then headed to the architecture museum. Here are some photos we took when inside the museum. The best part was that the museum used to be a church, so there were just a bunch of installations, and boards, and models placed into the church. And there was a very pretty courtyard. It was very neat!

After that we headed to the Panorama building to see the large panorama painting depicting the battle that Poland fought to win their country. There were no cameras allowed, but it was incredible!! As we were walking out our guide told us that we could also use the tickets we bought to get into the National Museum. We were both really excited, however that soon changed when we got to walking around the museum and all of the ladies who worked there and sat in each room were total jerks. They literally followed us, and watched us as if we were like a threat to the building. It was absurd and wasn't very enjoyable. But here are some pictures from inside the national museum, and some outside of it (hence our angry faces =P)

On Saturday we found this hidden restaurant that we had to walk down many stairs to get to. So glad we found it though! We both got Polish 'sour soup' (zurek), Yummy drinks (with ice, finally!!), I got grilled chicken with peaches and asparagus and Drew got duck with cherry and apple glaze! Here are some pictures of the restaurant...

We also stopped ice this ice cream place on both Friday and Saturday after dinner because it was so cheap and sooo delicious! Take a look at how much ice cream we got!!

We also stopped by a pub near our hostel, it was also an underground hidden little place...

There are still some more photos, You will get to see them later this week!
